Controls

You play by swapping pieces. Tap one piece, or click it with a mouse on a laptop, then tap or click an adjacent piece to swap the two. A swap only sticks if it creates a match of three or more.

The board is always in motion after a match:

• Making a match means lining up three or more identical pieces in a row or column. The matched pieces pop and disappear, scoring points.
• Cascades happen when pieces fall to fill the gaps and accidentally form new matches. These chain reactions score bonus points and are the key to big totals.

Each level gives you a target score and a limited number of moves, so you must reach the goal before your moves run out.

The boards grow and the targets rise across eight levels, rewarding players who set up chains rather than swap at random.

Tips

• Match four or five instead of three when you can. Bigger matches score more and often create special effects, so it is worth taking an extra moment to line up four rather than settling for the first three you see.
• Look for moves that trigger cascades. A swap that clears pieces low on the board lets everything above fall and chain into more matches, multiplying your score from a single move.
• Work from the bottom of the board. Matches made near the bottom cause the most pieces to fall, which creates the most opportunities for the cascades that drive high scores.
• Plan your moves, don't just react. Since your moves are limited, scanning the whole board for the most productive swap beats grabbing the first match, especially when the target score is high.
• Set up matches before spending a move. Sometimes the best play is a swap that lines up a big match for your next turn, so think a move ahead rather than clearing pieces one small group at a time.
• Save special pieces for tight moments. If a match creates a powerful piece, holding it until you can trigger a large clear gives you a bigger payoff than using it right away.
