This policy explains what data KhelHive collects, why, and the choices you have. Short version: you can play every free game without an account, we collect as little as possible, and we never sell your personal data.
1. What we collect
- Playing as a guest: your favorites, recently played games, and game levels are stored in your own browser (localStorage) — they never leave your device.
- With an account: your email, display name, and password (stored as a secure hash), or your Google account identity if you sign in with Google — plus your favorites, ratings, and play history so they sync.
- Subscribing: payments are processed by Razorpay (India) and Stripe (international). They handle your card/UPI details — we never see or store them. We keep only your subscription status and plan.
- Contacting us: the name, email, and message you send via the contact form.
- Automatically: anonymous usage data (pages visited, games played) to keep the service fast and popular games visible.
2. Advertising
Free play is supported by ads served by Google (AdSense / Ad Manager). Ad partners may use cookies to personalize ads; where required by law, personalization only happens after you give consent, and non-personalized ads are shown otherwise. Premium subscribers see no ads and no ad scripts are loaded for them. See the Cookie Policy for details.
3. How we use data
- To operate the Service (accounts, sync, subscriptions).
- To answer your messages.
- To understand which games people love and keep the Service fast.
- Never to sell your personal data to anyone.
4. Retention & deletion
Account data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account and your personal data goes with it (subscriptions are cancelled first). Guest data lives only in your browser — clear your browser storage to remove it.
5. Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion at any time via the contact page. If you are in a region with data-protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, DPDP), these rights are guaranteed to you and we honor them for everyone regardless of region.
6. Children
Accounts require a minimum age of 13. Our games are family-friendly, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be announced on the site with a new "last updated" date.
