You play by picking a horse and then rolling. Choose which numbered horse you're backing before the race starts, then tap to roll the two dice that move the field.

The dice decide everything:

• Rolling two dice produces a total from two to twelve each tick, and the horse whose number matches that total moves forward one space.
• The odds favor the middle. Seven is the most common total, so horse seven advances most often, while the outer horses like two and twelve are genuine long shots.

The first horse to reach the finish line wins the race, so backing a horse is a bet on which number the dice will favor.

The difficulty rises across eight levels for a steadily quicker and closer race.

Tips

• Know that seven is the favorite. Two dice add up to seven more often than any other total, so horse seven advances the most on average, which makes it the safest pick if you want the best odds.
• Understand the long shots. Horses like two and twelve only move on a rare exact roll, so backing them is a gamble, which is exactly what makes their occasional win so exciting.
• Pick for fun or for odds. You can play the probabilities by choosing a middle horse, or embrace the drama by betting on an outsider, so decide whether you want the safe money or the thrill.
• Don't expect to influence the race. Once you've picked your horse, the dice do all the work, so there is no strategy to apply mid-race, just the fun of watching it unfold.
• Enjoy the swings. A horse can surge ahead and then stall for several rolls, so leads change fast, and that unpredictability is the heart of the game.
• Play a few races in a row. Since any single race is decided by luck, running several gives every horse, and every player, a fair shot at coming out ahead.
